Working in Sales at Google in Dublin, Ireland

MICK: Dublin is Google’s
largest site outside of the US, supporting businesses in
more than 100 markets. We’re really lucky to work here. We have great people, big
ambitions, and a commitment to create an
environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Our large customer sales team
is central to that ambition, managing over 10,000
of the [INAUDIBLE] largest advertisers, and
every day, our Googlers engage with these
customers and help them to grow their
businesses online. Google is a growth
engine for Europe, and LCS Dublin is at the
center of that growth. ERIK: The office
environment here is great. Very international. Coming out the elevator, you’ll
hear five different languages. You meet people from
all over the world that are very driven, very
smart, very happy people. EOGHAN: The large customer
sales team in Dublin handles all of
the Google search, display, and YouTube
advertising for our group of large and fast growing
clients across all of Europe, Middle East, and Africa. NATHALIE: I’m an
account manager, and I work in the large customer
team for German clients. Working with large
clients is exciting, because you learn a lot
about the business model, and you feel like you
really have an impact. CHLOE: I work on each of
my clients in partnership with an industry
manager based in Paris, so I work in close collaboration
with the Paris office. NATHALIE: The good
thing about Google is, when you have
innovative ideas, you’re really being
heard by management and by the directors. TOJU: Well, a key principle at
Google is knowledge sharing, and it’s available in
different forms, where we have people coming to
give in person trainings, we have one-on-one
mentorships, and then lots of room where
you can actually train a lot of Googlers
yourself as well. CHRISTIAN: At
Google Dublin, we’re more than 2,000 people speaking
more than 60 languages. This means a lot of
diverse interests and culture in the same place. ALESSANDRA: We have so many
fun activities, social clubs, so whether you like
climbing, golf, tennis, you can be sure you always
find another Googler to connect with. NATHALIE: Dublin
is a great city. It’s pretty small, so you
easily find your way around, but it also offers
a huge variety in entertainment and culture. When I joined, I didn’t
know anything about adverts, but I’ve had an incredible
learning curve since then, and I’ve grown so
much in my career. MICK: You’ve just
taken a whistle stop tour of Google Dublin. This is Google’s
European headquarters. It’s a great place
to build your career, and I look forward
to meeting you. [MUSIC PLAYING]
